Taiwan quake is 'felt' in Utah
Cheng-Sheng Pan, a Taiwanese student at Brigham Young University,
along with a handful of Utah Valley State College students, attempted to
reach relatives and friends. Phone lines have been down and it was
difficult to know if they were safe. "My friends cry and cry. I try to
comfort them," Schen-Sheng Pan said. "The difficult part is the
unknown. I was with them between ll and l:30 a.m. trying to comfort
them and trying to find out information."
Bikers Blend Leather, Mormonism
The Temple Riders, a mostly Mormon group of 60
leather-clad motorcycle riders, all have something in common. They
don't drink, they don't smoke, and they carry extra copies of the

looking letters under the name of Steven Baugh, the Alpine School District's
superintendent. Baugh has opted not to remain quiet any longer about the
letters written on official district letterhead. Because of there subject
and composition, it is clear that he is not to author, but the Alpine School
District superintendent wants the un-known writer to stop.
Blues musician joins race for Sandpoint mayor
Jesse Warburton, 53, a professional window washer, local
blues musician and radio talk show host for KPND radio, is trying to
get his name on the election ballot for mayor of the Sandpoint,
Washington, near Spokane.
