MSI Was Down Ahead of World Trade Center Tragedy

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- The Mormon Stock Index was down 1.0% on Monday, the only day stocks were traded last week due to the tragic attack on the World Trade Center. The index was down while most broader market indices were even or up slightly. The MSI was kept from falling further by a nearly 5% rise in Dell Computer.

The Index was pushed down primarily by Hollywood Entertainment, down another 15% on Monday, and Micrel Semiconductor, down nearly 5%. Also down significantly was EarthShell (down nearly 12%). Overall just 11 stocks were up, while 24 were down.
