Galbraith gives six temple templates

Galbraith gives six temple templates
Ricks Scroll 21Sep99 D3
By Tiffany Thackeray Scroll staff

In a recent address to students at Ricks College, John Galbraith (former mission president of the Russia Novosibirsk Mission) took on the mantle of "surrogate mission president" to the many returned missionaries there. "Be careful," he said." I plead with you, it's time to get back on track. I don't mean tomorrow. Today." He asked several questions that could stand as a test to see if you "are you where you should be?" 1. Do you still pray night and day? What are the quality of your prayers? 2. Do you still read your scriptures daily? 3. How often do you attend the temple each month? 4. Are you faithful in your church calling?

He also spoke to future missionaries, telling them of the importance of temples, outlining six "temple templates," or items we learn in the temple that affect our daily lives. These "templates" are Obedience; Sacrifice; Prayer; Faith; Love and Service; and the Law of Consecration.
