NewsFlash: Netherlands temple announced

The Church announced in a letter to local priesthood leaders August 16th that a new temple will be built in The Hague, Netherlands. The new temple will be one of the smaller temples and serve a district including 5 Stakes and 1 district containing 10,700 members.

Zoning Rules Test Faiths

The battle with local officials over the building of temples is not alone in the drama of religious persecution by the state. Although this article does not mention the difficulties faced by the Church in the past years as it has tried to construct temples around the country, it calls attention to several other cases of other faiths not being able to construct their edifices.

Mormon prophet and church put trust in youth

President Hinckley, in town for the dedication of the Spokane Temple, spoke to 12,000 sharply dressed MIA and Young Adult aged young people assembled last Sunday.
