Hatch's role in President Clinton's Trial

Legislators don't reflect Ariz. diversity

Close to 20 percent of the state lawmakers in Arizona are LDS, most from Maricopa County, mainly from the Mesa area. They include current House Speaker Jeff Groscost, Senate Majority Leader Rusty Bowers, senate minority leader Jack Brown, and U-S Rep. Matt Salmon.

While most of the voting followed party lines, some analysis also shows possible religious connections. All ten LDS members of the House voted in favor of the impeachment articles.
