Ground work has started in OKC

Summarized by John Cato

Ground work has started in OKC
Just a note to update everyone on the progress of the OKC Temple.

On Monday 8/9, the heavy equipment moved onto the property and started clearing the land. They took down a building that was used to store mowers at one time and basically has been a place to store scout equipment. The backstop to the ball field and the dugouts were taken out ending the result of 4 or 5 Eagle projects.

Trees were bulldozed down and the digging of the foundation started. A huge hole was dug and now is being filled in and packed down to form the foundation of the Temple.

We understand that once the work has started then it is to be built in 240 days. I for one am looking forward to April of the year 2000!!

John
