Quilts for refugees

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all across the US have been involved in quilt making and blanket collection projects for the refugees of Kosovo. Relief Society organizations have targeted the month of August with scheduled shipments to be ready by early September.

This article highlights the efforts of some of the Saints in Minneapolis Minnesota. The young women of the Hmong congregation of the Church in Minneapolis. Because most members of the congregation are refugees from Vietnam, those involved have experience and a personal understanding of the plight of refugees. The young women, with eight older helpers, produced seven quilts, which along with another 43 quilts made by the other congregations in the Burnsville stake, will soon be sent to Kosovo.
