The drunk driving trial of Utah County Commissioner David Gardner has been
postponed at least 30 days while Gardner's attorney prepares a motion for a
change of venue. The motion will ask that the trial be moved outside of
Utah County because of Gardner's influence as a County Commissioner.
Gardner, who is a member of the LDS Church, is cited in a March 22nd
incident in which his car ran off a rural road near Spanish Fork, Utah,
punctured a gas tank and started a fire. Gardner claims that he was not
drunk.
