The Boy Scouts of America, Western Region, has selected to honor David E. Halliday of Bountiful with the Silver Antelope Award. The Silver Antelope is the highest award given by a region. Halliday serves as the vice president for relationships, Great Salt Lake Council, member of the National Order of the Arrow Committee and is adviser to the Great Salt Lake Council's Order of the Arrow Lodge. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Order of Arrow Service Award. He has been a scout volunteer for 35 years. Sue Weierman, a council vice president is quoted

Halliday is known for his dedication to service, his enthusiasm for Scouting and his example to youth. His engaging sense of humor and his willingness to donate his time and skills help to attract youth and leaders to the program. Halliday is a Salt Lake attorney and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
