Eric Bowyer, who is reportedly a 'Minister' of the Lisburn Ward, Belfast Northern Ireland Stake, gives his plans for New Year's Eve, December 31, 1999. Bowyer, who is Chief Executive of Newry & Mourne Trust and assistant manager of the Ballyemena Football Club, says he plans to be in Belfast.

"I'm getting set in my ways as I get older and I can think of nothing better than to be in Belfast with the familiar backdrop of the Cavehill and the cranes in the shipyard. I don't want to be in Sydney or Tahiti or anywhere exotic although normally I wouldn't mind at all! It just seems the sort of occasion to be somewhere I know and love."
