Summarized by Kent Larsen

Northwest Hospital President Relinquishes Role to Pursue Personal Mission
PRNewswire 27Jan99
Current CEO to assume responsibility as hospital president

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON - James D. Hart has resigned as President of Northwest Hospital in Seattle, Washington to serve as a Mission President. Hart will be replaced byt the current CEO, who will add the duties of President to his own.

Hart worked for Northwest for 25 years. During that time, Northwest has become one of the premier hospitals in Seattle, specializing in cancer research and in quality of care.

Hart will remain as President of Quality Sciences and Research until June, when he will begin serving as a mission president. The hospital hopes that Hart will return after his mission to that same responsibility.

The LDS Church announced last week that Hart would be serving as a mission president, but his assingment has not yet been announced.
