Police say Jeep has no link to missing girl

Summarized by Kent Larsen

Police say Jeep has no link to missing girl
(Phoenix) AZ Republic 22Jan99
By Jim Walsh: The Arizona Republic

An 11-year-old Mesa girl's disappearance remains a mystery. While police were able to locate and question the driver of a Jeep seen in the area about the time that the LDS girl disappeared, this did not lead to any clues. The driver of the Jeep has no connection to the case.

While the discovery of the Jeep, which has been a focus of the investigation, turned out disappointing, police have not abandoned efforts to find Mikelle Biggs. Tips received by police have also dwindled from about 35 an hour to two or three a day. The community also hopes for a break and continues to raise money for a reward fund.
