Salt Lake City native and World War II Army Veteran, Grant W. Walker was 73
when he passed away Saturday.
He earned a degree in civil engineering from the University of California
at Berkeley in 1952 and was part of the team to research and develop the
shock-absorbing highway crash barriers currently used in the U.S. and in
many other places all over the world.
