Film at Sundance about Mormon Salt Lake

The Sundance film festival opens today, and like last year, has a film about Mormons. The film, "SLC Punk!", opens Friday in Park City theatres.

Utah native trades Wall Street for Hollywood

33-year-old David Moreton arrived back in his home state of Utah Thursday evening to attend the 1999 Sundance Film Festival. This year, the film "Edge of Seventeen," which Moreton produced and directed is screening in the American Spectrum program.

Straight Edge gang subject of Film

Alex Beckstead of Salt Lake City is keeping his fingers crossed that the film he produced for his undergraduate thesis at the University of Utah will open the doors to a film career. The film, sXe, an 18-minute documentary was included in the Sundance Film Festival.

'Many Different Roads' CD leads Gladys Knight to Ogden concert Jan. 29

Gladys Knight will perform on Friday, January 29th at Ogden's Dee Events Center, bringing songs from her new CD, "Many Different Roads."
