31,000-pound shipment may be last from church

On Monday, the Utah Air National Guard will fly 31,000 pounds of food to Honduras, courtesy of the LDS Church. This is the last shipment that the Church is making in relief of the victims of Hurricane Mitch. The Church has provided about 2 million pounds of relief supplies since the hurricane hit in late October and early November.

The latest government figures place the death toll at 5,600, with 8,000 people remaining missing. Damage is estimated at $5 billion.
