LDS Church worker organizes teaching, educational materials

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - Roger Petersen, staff member in the LDS Church's curriculum planning and development department, has a tote board containing more than 100 gospel principles that the LDS Church wants to teach its members around the world.

Petersen tracks these principles through conference talks and other church sources, then checks to be sure they appear in teaching and educational materials that go out to all of the 10.4 million members of the church throughout the world. These materials are translated into as many as 160 different languages, not counting the more than 800 different languages into which the Bible is translated.

Petersen notes that members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve read and approve every publication his department produces.
