Elder Boyd K. Packer addresses 200 in Costa Rica
Jose Babb 21Jan99

Family disintegration was the issue Elder Boyd K. Packer focused on as he spoke to over 200 members gathered in a stake center in San Jose, Costa Rica on Tuesday, January 19th.

After a regional conference held in Baranquilla, Colombia and after meeting with the saints in Panama City, Panama, Elder Packer arrived for a two day visit to San Jose, Costa Rica accompanied by Elder William R. Bradford, of the Seventy, who is president of the Central America Area.

Dispite a sore throat, Elder Packer was able to address members, emphasizing the importance of leadership, family unity, temple blessings and paying tithing.

Before concluding he called upon members to be blessed with obedience, to sustain their leaders, and to prepare themselves for the blessings of the temple.
