Mormons dissent from ruling about homosexual teacher
After a ruling by a federal judge that the Nebo School District
violated teacher Wendy Weaver's constitutional rights, a poll
indicated that residents of Utah County disagree with the decision.
Mormons and Marriage Age
The Utah legislature will consider two bills to raise the state's marriage age to
16. A Salt Lake Tribune survey of 465
adults found that 58 percent of Utahns believe the minimum
marriage age should be 18.
Mormon selected as Assistant Sheriff
George H. Jaramillo, a member of the LDS Church, has recently been appointed to one of four
assistant-sheriff slots in the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
