MSI: Broad-based rally Raises Mormon Stock Index
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- A broad group of stocks pushed up the Mormon
Stock Index last week, led by Cadence Design, Corvis and Marriott.
They offset a nearly 25% decline in environmental packaging firm
EarthShell. Overall, 18 stocks listed in the index rose, while nine
were down.
Corvis Corporation pulled off the largest recovery last week, as
investors came back to the stock in spite of analyst comments that
Corvis wouldn't be able to meet expectations. Hollywood Entertainment
also rose nearly 25% for the week, and Myriad Genetics was up more
than 15%.
