  Palmyra Becomes A Mormon Mecca
While Palmyra, New York hasn't seen the influx of Mormon residents that Nauvoo, Illinois has seen, the town has become a major Mormon tourist destination, drawing thousands of visitors to see its historical sites and long-running pageant. Today's New York Times looks at Palmyra's transformation in an article titled "Tourist Chapter to the Book of Mormon." The article looks at the effect this tourism has had on the town, and the LDS Church's history in the area.

  CBS' 60 Minutes To Rebroadcast Hinckley Interview With Wallace
CBS' schedule seems to indicate that it will re-broadcast its 1996 interview with LDS Church president Gordon B. Hinckley this coming Sunday. The interview and accompanying story was heralded by the Church for its favorable treatment.

  An LDS Politician On How He Makes Environment Decisions
A Las Vegas Sun article looks at the difficulty environmentalists have had in making alliances with religious leaders, and includes the comments of LDS Church member Bruce Woodbury, a member of the Las Vegas County Commission. Woodbury claims that his LDS beliefs influence his decisions on environmental and development issues.
