Japanese Family To Ride Across The Continent
Shoji Hayami 5Jun00 P2

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- A Japanese LDS Family will start from New York City and head for San Francisco on June 7th. Osamu Sekiguchi and his wife Takako will embark on a daring new adventure with their sons, Yuji (12) and Koji (10), members of Tokyo North Stake in Japan, by riding on mountain bikes across the continent.

The family participated the Pioneer Trek re-enactment from Omaha to Salt Lake City, the only Japanese participants in 1997. This time, they will depart from New York and ride across the continent for 4,000 miles to San Francisco including the same route (1,000 miles) they walked or ride on a wagon at Pioneer Trail.
