 LDS Track Star Dies Of Cancer
LDS returned missionary and champion hurdler Brooks Gibbons died Monday on esophageal cancer at age 26. Gibbons won the Big West conference 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles in 1995.

 Madsen Represents Student Players On NCAA 'Toothless Tiger'
LDS basketball star Mark Madsen has a new role. Madsen is a member of the NCAA's new Student Basketball Council, which held its first news conference on Saturday, April 1st. The council is meant to give NCAA executives input from a student perspective. However, CBS Sportsline's Alesia points out that the organization will not be independent from the NCAA or the coaches.

 Colorado State Linebacker And RM Says Mission Changes You
Russell Kay, a boy from Mesa Arizona, went on a mission to Mexico City. Since then he played football at Ricks college and is now starting at Colorado State. The team is looking forward to watching this new Mormon kid play next fall.
