SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- San Francisco 49ers quarterback Steve Young,
probably the most eligible bachelor among LDS Church members, may be
getting married. For the third time Young has popped the question, and
Young's friends think it will actually happen this time.
Young will marry 30-year-old model Barbara Graham of Arizona in March, a
little more than a year after he baptized her into the LDS Church. They
will be married in an LDS Temple (which one, and there are lots of them
these days, is evidently secret). Ironically, friends say that they
tried to set Young up with Graham 10 years ago, but she wasn't
interested because she didn't want to have to deal with his fame and
with professional athletes.
Robinson says that Graham is known as independent and smart (graduating
magna cum laude) and very pretty. Those close to Young say she is
already part of the family.
In related news, Robinson also reports that Young is expected to return
to the 49ers for another season of football next year, in spite of being
knocked-out of last season with a concussion, the latest of many in his
football career.
