LDS Exec Named to Coke Diversity Task Force
M. Anthony Burns, an LDS Church member and chairman of Ryder Systems, has been named to an oversight task force that will ensure Coca-Cola Co. compliance with a racial discrimination lawsuit settlement. Burns will serve a four-year term as one of seven members of the task force, which will issue annual reports to Coke, the court and the plaintiffs in the lawsuit. He resigned last November as CEO of Ryder Systems, but remains the company's Chairman.

MSI: Index Jumps 7.3%, Adds 32nd Company
The Mormon Stock Index added its 32nd company this past week and increased the number of companies it actively tracks to 40 companies as the index's first anniversary approaches. As if to commemorate its anniversary, the index exploded, jumping more than 8 points to 122.75 and out performing all the major indices last week. However, the index finishes its anniversary down nearly 6 points over last year, a drop of 4.5%.
