Maren Ord Releases First Album
EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA -- Who knew that when Maren Ord began
composing music at the age of 14, she would one day sing with a major
record company? Ord, 19, and originally from Edmonton, released her debut album
"Waiting" on a limited scale in November with Highway records.
Her manager, Terry McBride - who also has worked with Sarah McLachlan and
the Barenaked Ladies - helped sign contracts with Sony Music
Entertainment Inc. for publication, Nettwerk Productions for Canadian
distribution and Capitol Records for international distribution.
Capital Records will be releasing her first album in stores worldwide
beginning 20 Feb 2001.
