Three Artists Collaborate on Christmas CD

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- "December Tales" is a new Christmas CD pulled together with the talents of three outstanding LDS artists - composer/lyricist Robert Stoddard, baritone John Huntsman, and writer Scott Card. The original music and lyrics to the 16 carols create a fresh new addition to the LDS cannon of Christmas music.

"The music of Christmas has always held a sacred, very precious place in my soul," said Robert Stoddard, who has written the carols over 20 years. "For many Christmases John Huntington has been performing these carols in concert in California," adds Stoddard. "This year, the time seemed right to record the carols."

Robert Stoddard is known for his musical collaborations with Orson Scott Card, including the recently released "Stone Tables" CD and "Father, Mother, Mother, Mom." He's also written music for television, stage reviews, and recording artists. Scott Card has written the lyrics for the title carol, "December Tale."

John Huntington is well-known among the followers of the Southern California musical theater, and has been a frequent soloist with symphonies and choirs.

The carols on the CD focus on the awe of Christmas and the Savior coming to earth. For more information, visit http://www.gladsong.com .
