  BYU Loses, SportsLine Gets It Right, and Wrong
BYU's football team lost their season opener against #2 ranked Florida State in a 29-3 drubbing Saturday night that nearly cost the Cougars their NCAA-record streak of 313 games without a shut-out. Widely expected to lose, the Cougars complied, by a margin just slightly larger than the 23 1/2 points given them by Las Vegas odds-makers.

  BYU Chooses Engemann As QB, While Pundits Speculate on Edwards' Successor
Larry King was right about BYU's starting quarterback -- kind of. His brother-in-law, Brett Engemann will indeed lead the Cougars in their first game this weekend against the Florida State Seminoles. But his main competitor for the starting spot, Charlie Peterson, has also been promised playing time in Saturday's game, maybe as much time as Engemann will get.

  BYU Seeking NCAA Women's Soccer Elite
The BYU women's soccer team has big plans for a team in only its sixth season. But a team that is returning four of its top five scorers, and adds to that a solid recruiting class, is entitled to big plans.
