BYU-developed French language CD-ROM to aid Olympic volunteers
A team of faculty and students at Brigham Young University has been instrumental in the development of a French language CD-ROM to be used by volunteers at the Salt Lake Winter Games. The CD-ROM, "À vos marques, Prêts, Partez: French at the Salt Lake 2002 Games," was financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France through the Alliance Française of San Francisco. The software--whose title means "On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!"--aims to teach "survival French" skills to volunteers for the upcoming Salt Lake 2002 Games.
