LDS Church's Genesis Organization is 30 Years Old
The Genesis Group celebrated its 30th anniversary last month with a performance of Margaret B. Young's play, "I am Jane," which covers the life of early black LDS pioneer Jane Manning James. The group was formed October 19, 1971 to help retain black converts to the LDS Church.

Family history technology topic of Nov. 8 colloquium
A colloquium sponsored by the Computer Science Department focusing on "Technology Research on Family History and Genealogy" will take place Thursday (November 8). The colloquium, presented by the Family History Technology Group, will be held at 11 a.m. in 1170 Talmage Building. All who are interested in how family history research technology can be improved are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served and admission is free.
