MSI: EarthShell Jumps 78% on McDonalds Deal, Keeps Mormon Stock Index Up
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- The Mormon Stock Index advanced slightly last
week, thanks to a deal between tiny environmentally-friendly food
packager EarthShell and McDonalds Corp. McDonalds last week gave
final approval to EarthShell's packaging, leading to plans to ramp up
production of its new 'clamshell' sandwich container to meet
McDonald's needs.
Except for EarthShell, the Mormon Stock Index was even. An increase
in AES Corp., for example, was offset by a decrease in Dell Computer.
Other notable changes were a 17% decrease in Bay View Capital, a 16%
decrease in Corvis, a 18% decrease in Micrel Semiconductor and a 16%
increase in Knight Transportation.
