KZION will broadcast Maren Ord's debut CD 'Waiting'
ST GEORGE, UTAH -- KZION will
broadcast Maren Ord's debut CD "Waiting" in it's entirety on Tuesday,
April 10, 2001 and Thursday, April 12, 2001.
"Waiting is the polished, shining example of her vision. Driving
guitars and an urgent tone take the track "Harsh Words" from sweet to
angry to imploring. Ballads like "Speak" and "Just Like You"
skillfully present her range on piano and acoustic guitar. Familiar
faces help round out the sound: Jerry Marrotta (Indigo Girls) played
drums, Brian Minato (Sarah McLachlan) played bass, and Luke Doucet
(Veal) and Russell Broom (Jann Arden) played some guitar. Produced by
Stephen Hague (Robbie Williams and The Pretenders), this debut album
was recorded in London, England and New York City. That's pretty
impressive for a girl from Edmonton, Alberta. "
