Rock Legends to Hold Internet Chat

TORONTO -- Paul Cantin, a senior reporter with JAM! Showbiz, announced yesterday that Burton Cummings and LDS singer Randy Bachman, both of the classic rock band, The Guess Who, will be holding a chat at Canoe.com Wednesday, 22 November.

They will be answering fan questions, starting at 8 p.m., and talking about their cross-country tour this summer, their upcoming live album, and past and future plans for the band. The chat will come two days after tomorrow's CBC documentary on the band (see "Documentary" in this issue), refreshing the minds of many of the fans who will be attending the chat.

In addition to their live album of their tour due 5 December, remade albums of such classic albums as "American Woman," "Live At The Paramount," "Canned Wheat" and "Share The Land" will also be released. The new releases will include "remastered sound, expanded liner notes and bonus tracks."

Documentary of The Guess Who Airs Tomorrow

TORONTO -- The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation will be featuring two shows featuring Canadian rock legend The Guess Who back to back Sunday, 19 November 2000.

The first will be part of CBC's Life &Times biography series and will actually be a previously-aired episode dedicated to lead singer, Burton Cummings.

The second feature will be two hours long and will show performances of all band members, including the past summer's Running Back Thru Canada tour. The tour started in The Rock last May and finally finished in Sudbury.
