New book on maturation written by BYU professor Brad Wilcox
PROVO, UTAH -- Brigham Young University associate professor of
teacher education Brad Wilcox has authored a new book, Growing Up:
Gospel Answers about Maturation and Sex.
"The book contains point-blank answers that kids need," Wilcox said.
Published by Deseret Book, the book addresses sensitive topics
including conception, prenatal development, body changes, sexual
harassment and molestation.
Targeted toward young people between the ages of 10 to 15, the book
focuses on the "facts of life," Wilcox said. The topics are
presented in the context of Latter-day Saint beliefs, doctrines and
standards, he said.
Speaking on similar youth issues, an audiotape, Pornography: Satan's
Counterfeit also published by Deseret Book, contains a talk given by
Wilcox.
