New Japanese Temple Open House Held
Yomiuri Shinbun ??May00 D1

FUKUOKA, JAPAN -- The Fukuoka Japan Temple dedication will be held on June 11th by Pres. Hinckley. Before the dedication and open house the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shinbun carried an article about the temple and its open house.

The article said the open house would be held on June 1-4. In total, 4,897 local people and seven media visited the temple during the open house.

"The Fukuoka temple, the second LDS Temple in Japan, after the Tokyo Japan Temple, has several rooms including room for Doctrine study on approximately 2,500 square meters (25,000 square feet). About 18,000 members of LDS Church in Kyushu island, Shikoku island, and western part of the mainland of Japan called "Chu-goku" will use the Temple on and after June 11th, the next day the dedication ceremony will be held."
