After 9 Boys -- IT'S A GIRL!
National Enquirer 25Oct99 P2
By Bennet Bolton

NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA -- After 22 years of boys, Kelli Skinner finally has a girl. Skinner, who is LDS, has had nine children during those 22 years, gave birth to a 7-pound, 12-ounce girl on October 5th. The Skinners will call her Daisy.

"Yes, finally we have our little girl!" said new mom Kelli."After all those years of buying trousers and boys' shirts, it was fabulous picking out dresses and frilly outfits," she said. Kelli knew in advance she'd be having a girl. "Daisy is going to be the most decked-out little girl in all of California. And what with all her big brothers, she's going to be loved a lot."

Two of Daisy's brothers missed the event, Max, who is in college and Brandon, who is serving an LDS mission in Mexico. Another brother, Fred, was killed in a car accident three years ago. The other six brothers were able to see their new sister in the hospital at their mother's bedside.

While father Bryan says he has always wanted 12 kids, Kelli, who is 42, says that enough is enough, "This is definitely the end of the line," said the 42-year-old mom. There will be no more!"
