Dixie State Rebel's Starting QB, Out with Concussion, Will Serve Mission

ST GEORGE, UTAH -- Jared Lowe, the Dixie State Rebel's freshman starting quarterback, suffered a concussion two weeks ago when the Rebel's played Glendale, and has since been sidelined. An article on his successor, Waylon Bond, indicates that Lowe plans to serve an LDS mission, leaving Bond with the starting job, and giving Lowe a shot at it again when he returns. Lowe, known for passing the football a lot, guided Logan High School to the Class 4A state championship last season. The third of the Rebel's three quarterbacks, Bret Groneman of Springville, Utah, is also planning to serve an LDS mission.
