Contest Gives Young Women Chance to Design Own Prom Dress

MIDVALE, UTAH -- Modest By Design is excited to announce their 2nd Annual Prom Dress Contest. This gives girls from 15-18 a chance to design the dress they have always dreamed of wearing to the Prom. In addition, the winner will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to Claires for all her accessories and another $50.00 gift certificate to Payless Shoe Store for her perfect set of shoes to match her dream dress.

Eddie and Heather Gist are sponsors of the contest. They want the girls to have options to dress modestly, but fashionably. This Prom Dress Contest encourages young women to be creative in their design of their dress and gives them a chance to enjoy a great night out on the town knowing they are in fashion and modest.

According to the Gist, "Over the past few years, Heather and I discovered how truly difficult it is to find modest clothing, especially Prom Dresses." The Gists believes that what teens wear affects how they act and feel about themselves. To help provide options, the Gists founded Modest By Design. An e-commerce business where men and women can buy stylish, modest clothing online.

Contest will run from October 15th to December 15th 200l. All entries must be mailed in by December 15th 200l. The girls must included their dress design and the short essay, "Why I think it is important to Dress Modestly" (50 words or less). The winners will be notified by January 15, 2002.
