New Products: Children's Books
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- LDS Publishers have several new children's
books this season, including a couple that try to meet the demand for
scripture stories written for the very young. Cedar Fort's "Jr. Book
of Mormon" and Deseret Book's "My First Old Testament Stories" both
are illustrated stories drawn from the scriptures and written for
children aged 2 and up.
Also new is "I Am a Child of God," pairing Greg Olsen's artwork with
the timeless LDS message that all are God's children. And, recently
released is Excel Entertainment's tribute to the movie "Brigham
City," featuring songs by various artists written in reaction to the
film.

Jr. Book of Mormon by Kimberly Jensen Bowman, illustrated by Joy Burch Stucki

Unable to find many Book of Mormon stories for children, Bowman wrote
this book, aimed at ages 2 and up. Each story, enhanced by colorful
illustrations, concludes with a question to prompt discussion between
parent and child.

My First Old Testament Stories by Deanna Draper Buck, illustrated by Jerry Harston
