Converted Biker and Casino Exec Bruce Blair Dead at 52

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- Bruce Alexander Blair, who once traveled with Hell's Angels in California, decided that wasn't the life for him and moved to Las Vegas. Bruce passed away May 24 and will be missed by his wife and step-children, who considered him their father and prefer to be called his sons and daughters.

Bruce was born June 24, 1949 in Oakland, California and moved to Vegas in the late 1970s. There he met Tamara Whaley, mother of seven, and developed a close relationship with her children during the 10 years before they married. Tamara and her children are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and last year Bruce was baptized. He worked as a shift boss at various casinos until he was diagnosed with cancer. Bruces cancer was attributed to work he did with asbestos while living in California.

While being an intimidating muscular 6 feet 4 inches, Bruce was fair with his employees and his children loved their family vacations and camping trips. Bruce had a lifelong love of motorcycles, and while he gave up his desire to join Hell's Angels, he continued to ride his Harley-Davidson with fellow tough, but law-abiding, bikers.
