Mormon Arts Festival Will Be Less Frequent
Deseret News 10Mar00 A4

ST. GEORGE, UTAH -- The Mormon Arts Festival, held annually for the past few years, has changed to every two years. As a result, the next festival will be held April 12 to 14th of 2001 at Tuacahn, the arts complex near St. George, Utah. The festival will not be held this year.

According to Mormon Arts Foundation board member and LDS playwright Doug Stewart, the decision to make the festival a biennial event came after the board looked "realistically at the resources at the disposal of the (Mormon Arts) Foundation." The festival is meant to promote the arts among Mormons.
