Crews detonate pipe bomb found at Taylorsville church
TAYLORSVILLE, UTAH - A maintenance worker at an LDS chapel in
Taylorsville, Utah, southwest of Salt Lake City, discovered a pipe
bomb about 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7th. The "bomb," actually
a pipe stuffed with sparklers, was leaning against a storage shed.

Canyon on Wednesday has been identified as Joey Valdez, 3l of Orem. He
is in critical condition at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center where he
remains in a coma. His condition is complicated by a broken pelvis, a
collapsed lung and the concern of kidney and organ failure.
