Woman Too Ill for Trial (For the Record)

Summarized by Kent Larsen

Woman Too Ill for Trial (For the Record)
Salt Lake Tribune 11Aug99 L8
Woman Too Ill for Trial (For the Record)

A woman who believes she is the victim of a conspiracy of "powerful Mormon ladies" is not mentally competent to stand trial, say doctors at Utah State Hospital. 54-year-old Azize Wilson allegedly shot her ex-husband several times, including once while talking to a 911 dispatcher.

Doctors want to medicate Wilson for six months before she appears again before the court in February. She is charged with felony murder in the death of her ex-spouse, Gay Wilson.
