Even Mormons like Vilanch (America Loves Bruce Vilanch)

In spite of the fact that he is gay, Hollywood Squares regular Bruce Vilanch says that he was still a star in Utah. Vilanch was recently in the Salt lake Airport when he was approached by a group of elderly Mormons who wanted to have their photograph taken with Vilanch, who is openly gay on the popular game show.

Vilanch was surprised by the treatment. "I was thinking, 'Do they have any idea who I am?' Years from now, when they look at this photo of all these old Mormons and this raging queen, what are they going to think?"
