Waterford pays for residents to toss trash

Members of the LDS Church's Hughson congregation helped clean up Waterford, California on Saturday. They cleaned abandoned lots and removed trash for those unable to take it to a community center, where the city of Waterford collected garbage for free.

This is the first time in several years that the community has had a cleanup project, according to city councilman Michael Burns. "People have been asking for this, and you could really see they needed it," he said.
