On Saturday, May 22nd, the"Mormon Artists Group" (MAG) held its inaugural exhibition, "Mormon Photographers," featuring the work of nine NYC area Mormon photographers. The exhibition was held at the studio of professional photographer Jon Moe in NYC.

The work of these photographers is quite varied, demonstrating both proficiency in choosing subjects and proficiency in several darkroom techniques. The photographer's exhibiting included Kah Leong Poon, Jonathan Barth, Matthew Day, Nettie Rencher, Sally Fuji, Ranae Merrill, Jon Moe and Natasha Brien.

The Mormon Artists Group is comprised of painters, photographers, composers, novelists, designers, architects, poets, sculptors, essayists, quilters, etc. from the various wards and branches in the New York, NY Stake. The group's purpose is to encourage Mormon artists to make art.
