Salt Lake Temple president called

The LDS Church has called Derrill H. Richards, 70, as president of the Salt Lake Temple, filling the vacancy left on the death of Elder Carlos E. Asay, who died April 10. Pres. Richards is the former president of the Pennsylvania Harrisburg Mission and was an executive with IBM. His wife, Colleen Germer Richards, will serve as temple matron.
