Soft-spoken OSU quarterback is 'Most Valuable' off field
LDS Church News 9Jan99
By Greg Hill

In addition to his many football honors, soft-spoken Ohio State University quarterback Joe Germaine is known for his good character and high standards. Brother Germaine keeps busy off the field by serving as a stake missionary in the Columbus Ohio Stake and speaking to the youth about teamwork, hard work and preparation at firesides in the area.

Springtime goals for Germaine include getting selected in the NFL's April draft and a month later, wedding fiancee Lori Whiting in the Mesa Arizona Temple.
