Not this time, Dale! Mormon Murphy doesn't make Hall of Fame

In his first year of elegibility for Baseball's Hall of Fame, Mormon baseball great Dale Murphy was passed by in favor of George Brett, Nolan Ryan and Robin Yount, according to ESPN.

Murphy was considered a possible addition to the Hall, but a strong field of candidates means that Murphy will have to wait for at least another year.

Murphy's record in baseball has made sportswriters speculate that he will eventually be added to the Hall of Fame.

Murphy is currently serving as President of the Boston Massachussetts Mission.
