Do you know of a newsgroup or usegroup that is LDS oriented where it would be appropriate to inform LDS couples desiring to adopt a child, of the availablity of a special little girl?

We are attorneys and have taken the relinquishment for a baby who is now 10 weeks old. She is of mixed race (Mexican and Black). She is absolutely beautiful. She has been born with 21 chromosome down's syndrome. It is anticipated that she will have the typical mental limitations. We want to place her into a worthy LDS home and do not want to be placing her into our state Department of Social Services system.

She has been approved for lifetime Medicaid and SSI funds. As we are adoptive parents (3 of our own) and are LDS and are able to choose the family, we are looking for a special loving home for "Emily." We have cared for her for almost 6 weeks in our home. Thank you for helping us place this special little spirit.

Since I don't know of an appropriate place for this, and since I believe it is important that this kind of post find its audience, I'm allowing this post here. Normally, I limit posts to queries, responses and announcements, but this doesn't quite fit.

I encourage the Broomes to create a web site where this kind of information can be posted. If they don't create such a site, I encourage others who have had experience with adoption to create a site. I know those seeking to place kids in appropriate homes can use all the help they can get.
